4 Bridges For Fixing

4 Bridges For Fixing

The March 18 Chiswick Area Forum included a TfL presentation re: 4 new works projects: Chiswick Bridge, Power Road Bridge, Hogarth Flyover and Hammersmith FlyoverThe Chiswick Bridge works started on 10th March 2014 with the main construction due from 7th April 2014 till May 2015. The work will involve renovation to the parapets, concrete, stairs and the waterproofing. The work does mean that there is only a very narrow footway available for pedestrians and cyclists, so cyclists will be asked to dismount.

The Power Road bridge (carying the A406 up Gunnersbury Ave and over the railway) will be completely demolished and replaced. One half of the bridge will be replaced at a time and works will be from this year until 2017, with main construction from Winter 2015/16 till Autumn 2017.
